Clieng being not responsive and laggy

Hello community!

I am new player in Drakensang Online, joined today. After installing the Drakensang Online client on Windows 8.1, I am experiencing major lag issue on different moments. Thus, the lag issues are not constantly present (at least not at the moment of writing this thread).

Before coming on the forum, I have double checked my Internet connection, to make sure everything is running as it should. So far, I have not found anything wrong with my Internet connection, which might cause the lag spikes in the game.

I have started playing on Heredur server, so can you please get in touch with the team and update me if this is server issue, or I have to continue looking at my computer and Internet connection?

Hello @eT3RnitY, and welcome to the EN forums and the world of Dracania!, first of all, I'd like you to give a read to our Forum Rules to make your stay here amazing for you and everyone.

So then, as for the lag spikes you're experiencing, I can tell you Heredur server has no reports on similar issues as of now, so it is most likely bound to your computer and/or internet connection, here's a few things you can do:

• Verify your connection quality and share the results with us so that we can assess if the problem lies there.
• Remember Drakensang online has a minimum requirement of 6 MB connection speed to function, please check that your connection fits the requirement.
• If it does, you might want to give your ISP a call for them to check if there's any latency or stability issues with it.
• An outdated router firmware or faulty router could be another cause for the issue, you'll have to check this out with your ISP as well.
• It is adviced to disable any other software or devices that might be "eating" your bandwidth while you play to optimize your experience. (e.g., Skype, Discord, downloaders, etc.)
• Take into consideration that if you play in a server that's not the closest to your geographical location, you should expect bigger ping numbers/lag issues despite your connection being good enough.
• Consider the number of people/devices that might be using your internet connection at the same time when you play, this could cripple further an already low speed internet connection or even a good one if other devices are demanding too much bandwidth, your ISP's technicians/support can check if someone is snatching your signal as well, and can help you out strenghen the security measures to avoid it and get rid of the intruders.
• Be sure to scan your computer to make sure it's virus/malware free.

He is right.. Today i faced this problem in 5v5. This is not an ISP problem. Here is my problem.
I was in arena and suddenly everything began to lag. I couldn't see anyone except their skills. And i got this message.. Like i was afk. Here some screenshots. And one screenshot in the enemy flag which i couldn't take. This is my normal ping as well. After i got into the town everything went back to normal.

 

Just to add to what Erebus said.

What is your location? How far away are you from the server?
Heredur is European server located in Germany . If you are playing from Australia i.e ... it is very normal to have high lag (because of the distance between your location and the server's location) even if you are having best internet connection.
