The amount of people being confused by this... Why don't they just take it out of the shop so we can all forget that event for good?

Truth is somewhere in the middle so I have to agree with the people complaining about the Jade nut, though I get the frustration you are facing too Traki with all these threads flying around again and again.

First, I don't believe in games where you need a whole book of guidelines handed to you without which you are lost. That never used to be the case back when I used to play games in 1993. I just started playing the game and figured it out as I went along. That was part of the magic of the gameplay and it has a charm of its own.
So from this point of view, I side with Traki. If you make mistakes, you have to take responsibility for them. If you want to do this "competitively", you better read every description as many times as necessary, and do the right preparations in advance before you make a decision in the game. If you are playing casually, then there's no reason to get upset - you made a mistake, there's plenty of time to get more drakens.

However, regarding the Jade nut and the repeated situation at hand, if something is confusing for many players, than the concept needs to be rethought and redesigned! Game designers ought to make their game elements and interaction as intuitive as possible. And the reality is that the Jade nut is not an intuitive item.
Personally I see two solutions to this:
    - Remove it as a permanent Gnob offer and make it available as a sale during the Dunes of Desolation event. Some people might say "but hey, what if I am waiting for the drakens for them and I have everything else?". It's the same as complaining "Why is Black Warlord Regalia available only every now and then when I still need the drakens for two capes only?". For consistency purposes this is the easiest approach.
    - Expand their usage so they may be combined with any other tier 2 items. This opens some interesting currency options and possibilities to players (including parallel world sets). This could make the Jade nut a jolly joker similar to how we have the Gem of Enhancement.

Probably to avoid other issues with the gameplay at this point it would be easier to go with option number 1. It's also more consistent with how the game works at this point.

These are my two cents on the topic.

I admit my mistake but the Jade-Nut : Combine this Jade-Nut with three tier 2 event items on the workbench to obtain the same item of a higher rank (items that can be combined with Gnob's Jade-Nut state this in their tooltip). First half was the reason i bought it was good enough for me, my bad

No problem SupremeBeing. We all make mistakes and it's not like this is a "real life" situation where there are implications outside of just having fun and enjoying the game (payers might disagree here but whatever).
As a sidenote, it usually helps get your response faster by using the search functionality on the forum to find similar topics on the subjects that have already been discussed. I know the Jade Nut topic has been discussed several time and of course you are not the first person confused by this issue.
Cheers, good luck in further developing your character, and of course, don't forget the primary purpose is to have fun :)

Great, looks like the question is answered (again).
As stated, please, use "search" function the next time you have a question - many of them are already answered, you just need to look. ;)

    Closing the thread,
    good luck!:)
