2 Handed Weapons (showcase and talk - DK only)

You seen my post regarding gear choices for a crit based 2H DK? I could write something equally as long on skill choices, defense builds, pure DPS, well rounded 1H or well rounded 2H. I've also done the in-depth analysis of DK shields (The pre R155 shields), 2H weapons (before the introduction of crit on axes and when attack speed on 2H swords was 1.05), and the validity of DPS vs DPH for a measure of a damage DK's performance... I'd love to write the comprehensive guide to all things DK, but it takes so long to write even one topic that I usually wait until someone asks a question so that I can tailor my knowledge to that question.

 

If you only knew how much your posts are referenced in the game. It is the go-to for any DK talk.

There is so much in game discussion on what the ideal balance (stats) should look like for both 1h tank and 2h dmg dealer. No one really talks about what a balanced build is. How much hp, resist or armor do you give up for maximum dmg, that sort of thing.

Anyway, I'll see if I can't come up with some questions instead of hijacking space in this dedicated thread.

Please tell me that you have a really low knowledge level on this toon. That is a very respectable axe, but your total damage is way lower than expected. I'd have expected closer to 2300+ max damage or more. Regarding everything else; HP looks good, resist isn't bad, but that is a matter of improving the gems, armor needs some work (add another 1000 minimum) but other than those points, it looks like you are on the right track.

 

yeah i played the game first when i started not doing much pvp im lvl(32) im doing every daily knowledge challenge trying 2 get 2 50-im gonna try to get dragan pieces and dragonache eventually-i tweeked my speed its 1,44 now with 10000 health-i used 2 spend some money on game but dont spend much anymore 20-30 month/it also had 4 slots how lucky-finally got a half way good one i think??

 

first nice: axe (open 5th slot if you have another at least 16dmg gem), cd is very sweet, hp and armor are good as well and chr isn't that bad but it could go much higher (dark/darknes helm and 3 pice should boost your chr a bit more)

bad: uf that dmg is nothing. you need at least 3k max dmg with that axe. dmg is jus TOOOOOOO LOWWWWWW

you said knowledg lvl 32? go for points: 10 behemot, 15 dmg, 7 hp OR if you can handle it go 10 behemot 22 dmg (if your hp don't drop under 9k go for it)

it looks "bad" now but as knowledg points will rise you will get much stronger.

O and one more thing i really hope that is darkness lvl 49 and you bought it when you were 49...if not, well, you throw away your gop (too litlle gain for that much gop)

 

yeah my dark armor is the new ones-like a dumbass i got in a hurry to get the pieces that are 49 and all i needed was 2 bars to get 2 level 50-still dont know why i didnt wait till level 50- im doin all the knoweledge daily challenges when i get them-thx 4 your advice mario and baragain much appreciated!!!- i kinda figured my damage would go up when my knoweledge gets to 50-also gonna work on resistances- thx

 

Try to get bloodtooth for boost that enormus chr from axe. It looks rather nice

That's pretty good, a bit weak in HP, but you've got a great foundation to build upon.

Agreed... probably just low knowledge level which would explain why the damage is so low with a hammer like that.

Ouch... those speed gems in that axe hurt to look at... pop those out and put some proper rubies in there.

 

Yes bara.. i have only 37 knowledge level,i didn't play for some month,do you think are low dmg with that hammer? how many damage i need to have?

 

With that damage, if you had 10 points in the 50% skill and 25 in the damage, I'd have thought you'd top out over 4k.

Well, when you put another 11 points into damage eventually, you will easily break that 4k number that I was expecting after seeing the stats on the hammer. Good luck and keep pushing for that knowledge level.

 

even with my knoweledge at 34 now-with green essence with my cd at 2.65%-i have been doing 6000 with smash and with head butt and smash i have done 10800+-is it better to use all my points for damage right now or use for more speed?? i use 17 points on speed-i thought having 2-3 more hits per sec was better than 600-700 more damage per hit?my smash is 3647-4761 right now with 45chr and 2,65 cd i posted my toon with all points on damage on next page curious which one is better all damage or some speed??

which is better more damage-less speed or more speed-less damage -how much difference is there between 1,11-1,33 speed how many more hits per second?
