Is this suppose to be a joke or what?!!!"

You people will always complain about everything. First you complained about needing to grind to level up, now you complain about them listening and making leveling easier.

"This new expansion is the worst job i have ever seen, like Myrdosch it doesn't fit the game's time-line nor history, also it does make any sense."

*facepalm* Explain to me how it does not make sense nor does not fit the game?

"One more thing, have you ever heard of DOTA2???"

I'd guess they have heard about it, since they made a promotion for it. http://www.drakensang.com/dota.

"now imagine what will happen to DSO next year with the release of 5 new "Diablo" clones???"

Hmm, true fans will stay and never leave, and those who hate the game will stay anyways. Like you; "P.S. - But i will keep an eye on this forum, because i just LOVE certain members + reading their posts;)!!!"

Interesting concept I would really like an answer from the CM's
You should ask the developers if people that have paid and are now unhappy with what R155 has done to there Dk's if a refund is plausible even if that means removing this account from the game
I mean if some of these people have paid for Andermants or lengthy periods of Premium because of the way Drakensang was before R155 and now no longer have fun because of this update surely they are entitled to compensation ?
The update that they did not want in the first place surely a refund is possible before a class action against bigpoint is established
IMO this may happen as the developers CM's and moderators seem blind or ignorant or both to the frustration and annoyance of the community at large

Unfortunately, that is doubtful. The terms and conditions of the game (which you agree to when you create an account) basically allow BigPoint to change anything, at any time, and there is nothing you can do about it. In fact, if BigPoint determined that Drakensang was no longer profitable, they could shut it down tomorrow and they wouldn't owe the players anything.

Didn't Bigpoint change the terms and conditions with R155 without notice though ?

Many people complained about it, including me. I mean, I'd rather level up quickly and get to the endgame than level up slowly, killing Gorga for million times. That kinda made me lost interest in DSO for a while. But now that they made the 40-45 grind a little bit easier, I started leveling my DK again.

So just because you liked grinding the same boss or the same mobs over and over, doesn't mean everybody else liked it. This new style of leveling is how leveling is done in ALL other MMOs, and this is how it should've been from the beginning. Leveling through quests, not grinding.

LOTR was based on the era that was a couple of thousands of years ago, while DSO is obviously based on Middle Ages. And the steampunk stuff makes sense considering Dwarves have way more advanced technology than us humans had back then.

OK, I can kinda understand your point about the robots, but I really can't understand your problem with the tribes. Natives existed in the Middle Ages in real world. Why couldn't they exist in the DSO world? Also, cat people living in the trees make just as much sense as the stag people of Wiltwuxshire.

Sorry to hear that, but as a casual who has always played DSO for fun and never really cared about PvP or other competitive stuff like that, I don't understand your pain.

    Hello,

I had an idea that stems from the same thought line as the hp pots.

Knowing that each update in level is going to need new items I can see why the hp pots are universal and this is a welcome changed. My idea is with the green essence. In the same way the hp pots are universal the green essence can become that way. To purchase from the shop they will go up in price as your level goes up. And the stats for the damaged added goes up as well. Here is a table of my suggestion. Worthy mobs will just drop the green essence and when you pick it up it is your level. As you level so does the essence.

    i'm level 50.SW
and all the stats in all the gear is lower than the gear i have now.
i wasted millions in PVP store.
    wasted gold on crafting.
    wasted time on farming.
upgrades from lvl 50 to 51 in gear is so high and not worth a point or two in stats to upgrade.
why so afraid to give us better end game gear?
its really hard to play knowing your not going to get anything on these maps for weeks or months.

may i suggest making a craft system that will show the gears stats in a window?so we can try again for better stats before we craft.

or pay 100 gold to add a stat line of the gear we found to our existing gear, basically swapping stats from both gear so you can't use it over again.
this would be fun for farming and worth playing.;)

Haruki, why did they decide to nerf our crit then provide no unique sets with crit?

Can the new 'moon' sets at least have bonuses equal to or greater than the current Newmoon set?

Hey Bearer-of-Death avoid the trolls ... some of them are BP's employees.
You are right ... this is not the original DSO Team ... they left the game since 2014. It is funny how they are keep telling us "we care about this game" ... but the only thing they care is MONEY!!!
And we have been told much more funny things ... like:
You see ... BP's employees think they own something :D:D:D ... but the reality is different ... hey devs
    [IMG]

And of course they ruined the game ... because BP is hiring people from EA, Zynga, Travian .... ahahahahahaa ... If we liked their games we would have played them in the first place instead of DSO.
So what is the real reason behind the ruination of the game?
In the beginnings of DSO they ... the original team ... created a masterpiece which needed only to be polished. That was the golden era of DSO. The game became EPIC because it was designed to be liked and it was not designed to be money magnet.

" To create the proper foundation for Drakensang Online, a completely new set of game rules had to be assembled, and they had to fulfill some pretty hefty requirements. Considering our desire to extend Drakensang Online in the future, it was a must for them to be easily expandable. They needed to be able to handle action-heavy battles, offer lots to discover and give players endless combinations to customise their characters. Not to mention, remain as transparent as possible. That’s why we avoided a system of complicated attribute conversions and implemented instead a system with direct combat values. Action-packed and direct also means, with respect to previous MMOs, that players can avoid an incoming fireball. Quick and clever reactions allow players to determine the fate of the battle for themselves. "
    -- Bernd Beyreuther
    Bigpoint - June 2010 – February 2014

    So they left.
They are keep telling us this is the same game ... no it is not. And here is the reason and motivation behind ruination of DSO:

" The Asian market, currently represents 45 per cent of the game sector, and believes it will likely grow beyond half that from this year onwards, with 82 per cent of industry growth coming from the region. The Chinese sector on its own, meanwhile, is worth $18bn."
" If we look at this $18bn, you have $13.5bn that is actually PC, partly online and partly web. So partly client games and partly web games. And again, that’s much bigger than anybody else, and this part is still growing at around ten per cent year-on-year. So it’s not only outsizing the rest of the market, it’s outpacing the rest of the market. There is still a lot of demand and appetite for PC and online games. "
" The level of grinding and the level of intensity Chinese players are going through in their games is much higher than you would see in the Western market. As such, the level of balancing and complexity of your game probably needs to be reviewed. Again, that takes a lot of time just to make sure you don’t break your economy and that you don’t break the overall flow of your title.
Second, the monetisation expectations are also very different. The Chinese players tend to churn through their games much faster than the Western players.
And then you obviously have all the integration and servicing work. In the end, the moment you go out, you have to be able to service hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of consumers. So we needed the back-end work and the network infrastructure effort that you need to do. That’s that much more tantamount than what you would do for the Western market. "
    -- Khaled Helioui
    BP CEO

Bigpoint has recruited a producer, designers and developers from China to work on bringing Drakensang Online, as if it were a completely new game, to the country.
So now you know why they have ruined the game ... so they can bring it in China and to fit chinese players.

No further comments are needed ... everything has been explained.
I am not chinese ... and I wan't the old DSO ... because this new game sucks monkeys balls!!!

One more thing ... people are screaming: Those damn Germans ...
But BP is not German company anymore ... its HQ's are only located in Germany but the staff are mostly foreigners ...
"Employees at our German studios benefit from the employer-supported health insurance in Germany."

I didn't bother to read your useless wall of text, but this caught my eye. The "Best Innovation" LMAO :D Tell me one thing DSO did that was innovative, new or unique, in 2012? Yeah, nothing.

Even more I laughed at the "Best Ruination" part. And you are calling me a troll?

Actually, you are very, VERY wrong and whatever BP CEO Khaled Helioui says is a nice lie. Why? Because DSO already HAD their Chinese server put on http://www.friendster.com/ which they mentioned right here -> http://bigpoint.net/2013/09/next-st...launches-drakensang-online-in-southeast-asia/ The thing is - DSO is too bugged for Chinese people and all other Asian people as well. It's not their cup of tea and if you knew mandarin chinese and asked those ex-DSO-gamers, you'd know that even better drop rate for uniques and legendary items wasn't "the thing" that would keep those gamers in the game. I know, because ma nad a friend of mine had accounts out there. Chinese gamers were shocked by how poor PVP is, how difficult PVE is, how badly balanced are characters in this game, how bad the drop rate is (even though they had better rates!) and mechanics of this game were not even slightly similar to any other game they know and play. So yeah, they dropped it and closed the door for DSO in China and probably in the whole Western Gaming Market (excluding Russia of course).
