If I upgrade an item to level 50, and take it off, can i put it on again if im under level 50?
Also, there are some quests that give items that scale to the level of the user. Would upgrading the item to level 45 be as good as recieving the item at level 45?

    Thanks :)

    Hello @taketh ,

    Welcome to the forums.

Upgrades will not affect what level you need to be to wear the item. Only the base level of the item matters. So if an item is level 1 and you upgrade it to the max, you still only need to be level 1 to wear it.

As for the second question, it is more-or-less the same, the major difference is the cost in Glyphs of Power to upgrade.

    Cheers,
    Anyki

The key thing you are missing is the line where it says "Requiers Level XX" as seen in the image below. That line does not change.

Regarding upgrading, In theory, an item with max stats at your level would also have the max stats of the level it is upgraded to, but with random items, it is almost impossible to get "Max" lines of anything. In the case of uniques with set stats, like the Warlord set, I think if you upgrade a LVL 5 set up to 45, it should have the same stats as one obtained at LVL 45, but as Anyki said, it comes at the cost of tons of glyphs.
