About the DSO Wiki...

Is it just me or it is loading/running much more slowly lately? My old PC used to be able to display the website with ease, but now after opening, say, three tabs, they won't load unless I wait quite a while. I thought the problem must be on my end, with that rusty ol' desktop, so I accessed it on my much faster and newer laptop (on which I actually play, 'cause the PC can't run the game). Unfortunately, the same result. Why's the Wiki slow now? Is it just me after all?

 

its just you lol,,mine is fast,try resetting ur router and modem.unplug the power wait 15 seconds then plug'em back in.
bottle necks in data n stuff seem to clog them up,i try to do that every month or when needed,it helps alot to do that.
i have a gamer router with wireless devices using it too,ie ps4,phones,ipads ect.
even tech today they seem not to be able to flush n reset on their own.

 

So, basically you're saying "have you tried turning it off and on again" xD ?

 

yes lol, but using the switch alone doesn't really reset it,thats why the tech people say to unplug it as well.

 

Might be best to contact Wiki for help. In the mean time disable java or try m. instead of www.

 

It usually says that the Shockwave Flash plugin has stopped working. Might that be the problem? The latest updates for Adobe Flash haven't worked for me, so maybe that's why?

Sometimes it is running slow ... but it is not that frequent.
It is not your connection it is your PC combined with the crappy flash player.
The latest version of the flash player is somehow flawed ... open some YouTube video (higher format) and switch to full screen and see what happens.
As for wiki ... like on many other web sites there are advertisements which are using flash player ... since you open more than one tab/window it takes time to load and in same time they are eating up your resources.
