    Hi,

I have read a bunch and haven't found the answer to my question. Perhaps it was there but I am kinda slow :p
I had a lvl 25 weapon which I upgraded to 27. The other day I found a lvl 32 weapon with slightly more damage , so I instintively melted the lvl 25 weapon and tried to use the glyphs to upgrade my lvl 32. To my surprise, I was short like 200K glyphs to upgrade. I was only short like 2k glyphs to upgrade my lvl 25.

Now I am wondering if I kept the lvl 25 and upgraded it, it may have been a better weapon....

Did I do the wrong thing? Just dont want to make the same mistakes again...

Thank you ahead for your advice.

As I understand it, generally speaking, it is a good idea to upgrade to a higher class weapon cuz you can potentially go further with it, ie, the upgrade ceiling is higher, especially/at least with enchantments. I've also noticed (when upgrading legendary gear), sometimes it actually gets cheaper to upgrade after that initial upgrade (ie, after you've first switched weapons).

I hope that helps. If not, there are plenty of players here who could give you more accurate/detailed answers.

In the short run, the old weapon may have been better, but it would eventually be replaced as will the 32 weapon. You can always check upgrade cost at the Blacksmith prior to making those kind of melt or not melt decisions. The upgrade costs swing wildly with level and enchant differences.
