Preparation for expansion and cap increase

I'm interested in insight as to what others are doing in preparation to expedite leveling and gear up.

Personally, I have become a verifiable hoarder!! I know opening multiple Leg's will still be a necessary part of the game so all the timed or rare commodities are being stored in mass: Lockpicks, Draken, gold, and Daily chests. I haven't been able to make myself save premium cubes yet as I'm looking for the unique set, but I know that would be a nice way to amass exo items quickly.

I also finally decided to finish POS. I've ignored it for over 2 years now just picking up the trickle of Frags on the way to Khally, but not knowing if it will bite me i the butt worse if I don't finish it before they rework the PW system is a bit frightening. I remember what they did to Cave last time

Any thoughts on other things to save or what you think will be useful later?

 

Im storing up my draken, mainly. I spend toi much time in the parallels and map2 farming for glyphs, so no lockpicks. I am putting my glyphs into my gear, though, as it should help in the leveling up to 50.

Still have my 5% experience necklace and 5% gem in storage, so i will be using these when the expansion comes.

 

Ya, I saw there is a new(well new to me) 25% dragon pet now. Hmmm......that would be a good event reward.

I'm with you BigPapa. I'm rolling through POS as a bit of PW.2.0 insurance.

Regarding your original post (op); I'm also hoarding resources of sorts. My assumptions are pretty simple.

I'm putting "I'm assuming" so no knucklehead looks at this as a fact. It is pure speculation on my part.

1. I'm assuming the vast majority of gear I have on right now is absolutely disposable aside from melt value.
2. I'm assuming event sets released during the expansion will be scaled to the level of your Toon.
3. I'm assuming the XP and Fame levels will scale as a % of previous and use that as a way to project those numbers. Can you say Excel?
4. I'm assuming PW.2.0 will:
--------a. Rework Stalgard to be a PW
--------b. Require completion of POS PW to continue to Stalgard PW.
--------c. Add another Ammon gear piece with decent stats
--------d. Rework the set bonuses for all of the Ammon pieces to make them scrum-dili-icous awesome and irresistable
5. I'm assuming they will ditch the Draken currency and give us all Clover compensation
6. I'm assuming Game of Thrones is going to be awesome ....oh wait, wrong board

Well I suggest hoarding realm fragments, silver essences and fairy wood. What a waste to get items at 45 just before the level cap. PW 2.0 might have belt, amulet and weapon trophy. Added set bonuses for Ring of death, ring of life and the 3 new items.

 

I am stocking up supplies of: food, drinking water, cigarettes, coffee, toilet paper and anti hemorrhoid medications.
When the expansion comes ... going into work/school is not an option so you need to prepare your excuse letters for your bosses/teachers on time ... so do it as soon as you can ... do it NOW!

i havent played pvp so i am thinking of staying lvl 45 so when all the now lvl 45-s level up to 50 i will not meet them in pvp. Am i asuming correct or not bc i have no clue about pvp. Then when i have high rank pvp then i will start to lvl up. So what are good drops to hoard for pvp. i am hoarding green ess and kaboem bombs , hp potion , and any other buff i get.

 

You are wrong ... you will meet them and you will get destroyed. So your best option is to get to level 50 as soon as you can ... that way you will have advantage over those who are not.

Kaboom explosive is valuable asset in PVP ... it can stun all enemies at once. Once they see you using kaboom in the arena they will get stunned with no ability to use the mouse and keyboard and in the same time they can't see you because of the tears in their eyes ... and all of this because of the hard laugh that kaboom is providing in the arena.

 

You will get matched with players +/-5 levels from you, so staying at 45 presents only a disadvantage as most 45s will rush to 50 for more hp and damage as well as lvl 50 loot. Also, only green essence will help you in PvP. Or you can try Traki's kaboom trick 8)

 

stocking on gold, gold and more gold ... exp dragon,amulet and gem is in inv. ready for fast exp farming ... i think spending drakens is pointless now ... so Gnobo will see my drakens only if he bring good goodis on 50 lvl..

I think I would need to throw out some of the stuff in my bank first before I would even have room to do any more hoarding. -completely unprepared-

 

If you have (re) next to the title of your PoS quest, it's already registered that you've completed PoS. I mean for the people who already finished it before the Ammon set rework.

 

new mobs and a new map but same old items no doubt
just a new place to go rather than pw's, then it will be like all the rest after the first week
and i'm sure new bugs will show up too for everyone to look forward to......
