What are essence tears for?

    Please can someone inform me what essence tears are for? After completing the essence of tears event we started picking up drops called essence tears ... they were never in out stash, the quantity in the drop would vary from 1-300 but it would always state that you received one ... What are they for?

    They are filling your progress bar.
    Once your progress bar is full (5500) you don't need to pick them up ... but they are useful because of the small buffs they are providing.

    Yeah, they fill the progress bar but you dont need any more than 5600. I believe the buff is an up to 4% travel speed buff, so it can be of some use when you finish the progress bar.
