Hi, so far I've been using only shotgun which removes the second hand slot, at lvl 20. I was wondering is it better to have:
-fiery impact instead of delayed bomb
-pistol instead of two handed longer range weapon
-higher critical value or base damage since turrets cannot critically hit
-cooldown reducing perks(especially rocket dwarf vs motivation)
-is quickshot better or higher damage to bombs?

Also, what is the best way to spend andermant?

    Thanks

Haven't been playing my dwarf that much but I hope this helps. Note with this class I am more focused on pve.

For Heavy shot I think its just a matter of preference some people like the stun chance but I chose the fiery impact talent for higher damage.

Personally I use a pistol with a shield since I die too easily in the later maps(pve) with a 2 hander, for pvp I find that a two hander is too slow most of the time especially with the Heavy shot time delay.

Crit or damage? I think this is just a matter of preference as well. Try to find a balance between the two.

Personally I chose the cooldown reduction talent mainly because it lets me shoot armour break c4 missile faster and follow up with AoE bombs/sharpnel shot or other attacks. I don't think there's any need to have 3 rocket jumps unless you jump a lot in pvp.

Quickshot/bomb is also a matter of preference I think. I use bombs though since hitting one mob at a time kills them too slowly for me.

I noticed in PvP that Dwarf is pretty useless since the projectile speeds are so slow, would you agree?

Dwarf's projectile speed is freaking fast. I think you mean the time it takes for heavy shot to fire. The bullet speed is faster than arrows and fireballs. The main problem with dwarf is the lack of steam. Instead of having the 1st talent be quick shot (+5% attack speed for 1 second which is DAMN USELESS) make it +4 steam per shot but can only be activated once per second. This would help make the dwarfs much better in both PVE and PVP. Whatever, I sort of gave up on this game for now already since crit value is nerfed on items making the game unbalanced for older players. Too lazy to make much of a suggestion to the stupid team right now who wants to focus on level 50 without even solving other issues.

PVP steam mechs have it easy compared to others. Bombs run and steam to heal. C14, bomb, and heavy shot then run away heal...

Pvp steam mechs are usually 5v5 specialists who steal the flag and run away in iron armor mode.

The other thing they do in 5v5 is drop mech turrets around their flag and aid in the prevention of flag stealing. If they have the cooldown reduce talent the mech turret hits allows them to spam heavy shot, c14 and shrapnel shot on defense while decreasing the iron armor cooldown.

Edit: Another support tactic is to lay down two machine gun turrets to either protect a teammate with the flag or slow down an opponent with a flag.

I have a flag bearer level 45 dwarf myself and 5v5 is the only match where you are even useful. They are way underpowered in any other matches while being overpowered with the flag in 5v5.

All classes are good if you build them good. I PVP ED a mech that got over 300 hp per steam condenser and he was only level 21. He ran fast and let you extinguish. Did not need high damage. That would have to been the longest 3v3 I ever did. All 3 of us tried to get him but it was no use.

Haha that's why run speed is now essential in pvp to catch these lil buggers. :D Definitely worth getting some run boots nowadays, adds a whole new dimension to your PvP.
