wish I could start a thread/post on here in regards to the extreme lag Tegan players are having...I'm just so upset with the direction the game is going Lag wise....I have friends whom Lag on Tegan but also play on other servers and they have no lag there...what is the deal with Tegan why can't this issue be addressed and actually fixed...is Tegan server beyond fixing?if so let me know?...I have so much Time and Money invested in my character but I feel Unfortunate in saying this but if need be I'll take my loses and look for gaming options elsewhere...as I've mention in a earlier post on here and can be taken from this post ..I'm a pay to play player/p2p...but this is down right ridiculous..I mean I work hard for my money and simple wanna enjoy my gaming time...if you can't provide a fix for Tegan then so be it...I can take my business elsewhere to bigger and better options online.

 

Same problems here lately on Agathon. Some PVP matches are funny as it looks as though DK's have the ability to teleport at times.

 

@Laxerious : Have you worked through the steps in the forum's Tech FAQ for resolving lag issues? Specifically...

~ Have you scanned your computer for viruses and other malware?
~ Have you cleared your cookies, i-net cache, Java cache, etc?
~ Have you run some general speed and stability tests on your i-net connection *while you are experiencing game lag*?
~ Have you run some ping tests between your computer and servername.drakensang.com *while you are experiencing game lag*?
~ Have you checked that no major background activity is going on at the same time e.g. applications updating themselves or an antivirus application scanning?
~ If you are using a laptop, have you checked your CPU and graphics card temp?

 

i have lag too in tegan sever... befor im play very good but now the sever very lag ( more my friend have problem too) i dont know why??? but i sure my laptop can play game on max setting and my conection is nomal ....i can do my work i can do anything but i can play game nomal..

 

This last days the more recurent lag is a kind of delay when selling item, or picking item on the floor

 

Allogeneous...to answer your question sir ...yes..I've performed all of what you've suggested...I think I'll just have the masses from Tegan server give you there input also..it's not just a single person such as myself experience this on going Lag...I'd say a good 60% or possibly more are having Lag issue's which started at the time release 145 was Implemented...then it really got bad after Red essences event was uploaded to Tegan server...I keep my pc in top running condition...My cpu temps ...Virus scans ...and all software related items are cleaned on a regular basis..including Cookies cache etc..both for Browser and client Temp files...Ping test and also Speedtest.net to insure I have
optimal network abilities..but as I've said ..there are "a lot" of use with the exact Issue's..I wanna thank you Allogeneuos for taking the time to read and respond to my Message...I look forward to future communications sir ...Perhaps this being the first of many posts on this subject from said members/gamers from Tegan sever.

 

I think Tegan server has a big laggy issue. I've never had problem with my PC or connection, but few last days/weeks I'm lagging like a drunk hell. Please check the work of Tegan!

 

Hello, from server tegan.

I do have the same problem. Screen freeze/slow in a minutes and it resume back to normal.
I have hard time on picking up items.

Clearing cache & java cache doesn't help.

Tegan Sever lag problem has affected three months long , especially all arena PvP map is VERY VERY LAG for all Tegan Sever Players.
we can't runs smoothly PvP work .

Support this Tegan lag problem many times are ineffective .
You can use LV45 character to register & get into arena PvP map of Tegan Sever , to experience a real understanding of our situation .

 

Ok. If players are still experiencing extreme lag on Tegan and you have followed all the usual steps for reducing lag, please state:
~ What you have tried so far to reduce lag
~ What areas (maps) you are finding to be particularly laggy
~ What your symptoms are exactly (e.g. monsters suddenly closing the gap, screen freeze, taking dmg with no monsters shoing as being near you, long loading times for maps, skills failing, etc)
~ When you first noticed the excessive lag
~ Whether it is noticeably worse while in groups or same as for solo.
~ What country you are in

Once I have some usable info to pass on, I will generate a bug report for it.

 

Hello Again Allogeneous,..The maps in which I and others have found these Lag Issues are as follows:Hall of the Dead/hod...Desert Essence event map..Teleportarium/Destructor ..Ocean of Bones and PVP 5v5...problems/Lag are as follows:Invisible enemy both for pvp and pve..in addition is a symptom known to us players as "Rubber band" lag consisting of standing in one place and the next second your across the map..bouncing from your original spot to the undesired location..then back to starting point.This also happens sometime when trying to navigate a map...the Rubber band effect.I and friends are going to try and capture these event/lag on video and attach them to this thread to help you better understand ...again thank you for your time and attention into this matter .

Honestly, given how rarely I personally have lag problems (I have 105 Mbps service, well above what is needed, since it is part of a bundle that has other things I wanted), I suspect part of the problem is the ISP is screwing with people. I would be interested in know what type and tier of service people are getting when they have problems.

Edit: I did have a problem 2 nights ago, but it was with attacking one particularly laggy flagbearing DK in 5v5. Weirdest thing, my guildmates and I were grouped up for 5v5 amd whenever we tried to attack this particularly laggy looking dk, he would almost just lag or bounce out of the way, even if he had the flag. I myself was having no lag problems, but this guys DK's bouncing was able to prevent my stun attacks from connecting.

 

I am kind of annoyed that we the paying customer need to do the work for your technicians, while I realise this post will be considered unhelpful in nature by admin, I feel however I'm doing my part in full.

I believe it should be enough for people to tell you there is a problem and then it is upto your technications to actually test and figure out what is going on and fix it. Why do we need to do your work for you, I/we are paying you so I/we can use your Product (Game).

Here's what you need to know to forward on to your technicians....

(Yes! I am one of those people experiencing lag without being able to find a reason for it on my end.) (pvp is usually impossible to play and I hear the same complaint from nearly all of my friends)

Btw, I lived in the same house with the same itp in the same country as before the lag issue started to happen.

hey...heres a thought, maybe BP needs to purchase a new server with the money we pay.

 

@Skylin here is where your outlook on this matter is a little.... incorrect: we (the forum moderators) do not have "your people" or "your technicians". We moderate the DSO forum. i.e. we pass on official info from Big Point regarding DSO, we try to help players with DSO-related issues, and we collect feedback from players re. DSO and forward the more sensible ideas/suggestions/concerns to BP for their consideration. So... regarding technical issues: we need to collect as much information as possible about the issue and we also need to determine whether the issue is client-end or server-end before passing it on. You'd be amazed how many "technical issues" that "must be a problem with the server" simply evaporate when players follow the instructions contained in the forum's Tech FAQ.

This tegan server gets recurent lag issues since long time.
Most part of time people don't post to complain
Why ?
Even if all the players are playing DSO in english
1st step is really hard to do for post in an english forum if u are not english native speaker.
So there have an invisible army of lag victims who just complain when playing but who don't come to post.

We know this server is in under-populated, but we deserve decent playing conditions.
U really need to investigate why so many people have lag.

Maybe yourselves Moderator, should be play in tegan to feel what all these people gets

 

I also believe that forum moderators should be paid for what they do, the point I'm making here is that Bigpoint is not running their business properly because you should not be having to do all this what you have just said you must do.

The support ticket area of this game is very limited and not user friendly either, it makes me as a customer feel that BP really does not care for my experience playing their game or using the entertainment product they provide.
Now yes sure if I was a free to play player, I wouldn't expect a level of care towards me.
However I'm not only a PaytoPlay Player, I'm also a member of The Top Gamers Club.

Could you please pass on the message to whomever it concerns, that my character seems to have a gas problem that is concerning me as I believe it could be bad for the health of my Character Skylin, She periodically shoots the Destruction Beam from her backside while bending over facing the opposite direction to which the beam fires.

While it is quite humorous in context it's becoming more and more frequent and I'm certain not good for her Well being.

Perhaps a Doctor could be added to the Game that my character could visit in Kingshill, where I would have multiple choice questions I could answer that could be used to gather information when people have health concerns for their Characters.

The Questions and Possible Answers written in laymans terms would be helpful also as I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue about the Education Level of their Character.

@Skylin I have made extensive enquiries about your SW's situation and I have been assured that a more balanced diet, cutting back a bit on dairy products, and eating a little more slowly, should help reduce your excessive flatulence. If that doesn't resolve the issue, consider partaking in a little activated charcoal. I hope this helps, and please don't hesitate to shout out if you have any other such issues we can assist with.

If anyone is experiencing excessive lag even after the update/restart, please follow the steps in my reply #3 and respond per the format in #10. Cheers.

 

I am not certain what to say here so here goes nothing. We all experience lag at different times and different locations in the game whether it be after, before or during events , updates or just normal game play, what we do know is that Tegan seams to have an extra amount of lag compared to the other servers from what I have heard and experienced. I live in Australia and quite frankly it is amazing that I am able to play at all considering that a person downloading a movie on the east coast can directly or indirectly influence how much lag is on the west coast or so I have been told. However there must be an issue somewhere tho if Americans playing on an American server are experiencing major lag issues, I trust this will be corrected soon.
