The Forums are boring. I mean God-awful boring. Where I would rather watch Twilight than tread on the forums for quarter an hour or two and to the point where I'll pick Beiber over DSO Eng Forums. Oh hell no, not Beiber I meant One Direction. Who the hell likes Beiber?

On serious note. Pulling off something out of context leads with Mod intervention. Certain responses that doesnt relate to the topic usually gets deleted without notice. And when you managed to stack such grievances, the Mods hammers you down for weeks.

But we have never heard from the Community about this matter, some might have shown their respective displease but none actually goes out public and they too gets deleted soon afterwards.

It has been an issue with this tavern on how Mods handle Off-topic comments. If the two parties can agree into terms, we might sort out these grudges and disputes in a manner of understanding.

Also, why not make BigPapa and Treganna as player-oriented mods. BigPapa has contributed to the forums and answers most of the questions posted by newbies. Treganna is reasonable if you find him a fluffy Toby to carry with around. If a Toby cant work out, a plush Malficent might.

There are other notable Forumers that CAN aid the Forum Moderators. Grant them power to do so and we might create a forum worth spending time for.

This is the only game I've been with, with a boring mod-player interaction. No love at all. We hate Mods more than they do to us.

edit: Also, i cant see my signature (>-.-)>

I find the English forum entertaining and educational. I'd like to see more interaction among more people to get other viewpoints, but I enjoy those who do post here.

I can understand the frustration in having what one writes removed, thereby making it impossible to share that thought. If the discussion is unrelated to the topic of the thread, perhaps a new thread should be started?

As I understand it, if the post violates the forum guidelines, then it is likely to be removed. If the post falls outside of forum netiquette, then I would expect it to be removed. And if a poster has an issue with whatever the Moderators do with the post, then the poster should contact support.

Thanks for bringing this up. It caused me to review the guidelines on what is appropriate to post or not. I find it a good idea to read through those now and again in case something changed I wasn't aware of.

Thank you for your input Dragonnns - you did get all that right.

    Hello yeomanry :p

I will get over the unfortunate comparison you've made, even if it's not to my liking, but hey - millions of girls all over the world get hysterical when the above-named show up, try to sing, dance, or just breathe :p so maybe we should take it as a compliment, I didn't know we're that important :D .

On a very serious note, before getting silly: To complain about the mod team and any actions in particular, you have to contact Support, then the higher ups can get us slapped gently if we made mistakes, 'cause we're not perfect ( well, one or two of us might be ;) ). To become a mod, the details of the process can be found here. The Team is always excited to have new victims... oops, I mean mods - but we can't force someone into this status, they have to come in by themselves :D ! Off topic comments have to be deleted, because one of our tasks is to keep the forum organized. You can suggest off topic comments to be treated differently, but it is unlikely to be changed... Imagine the chaos if everything would be discussed everywhere  how would one find easily what they are looking for?

Believe it or not :D we're not snipers sitting with the rifles camouflaged in the forum darkness, waiting for an off topic comment to be made and deleted.

I loved your screenshot comment by the way - but if I would have answered like that, it could be easily misunderstood and I could be accused of mocking players instead of helping them ... so it's a fine line at times that we have to be careful not to cross.

We don't hate you, at all! I personally think the best part of this whole experience is interacting with so many wonderful people. Even the hard days are cool ... when they are over. But you have to keep in mind a couple of things - we get just as frustrated as you all when things go wrong with the game, possibly even more, because we not only have to encounter the same problems, but we are also in the front line, hearing all the anger from the community, and trying to find a way to keep things in order, since we cannot fix game bugs, so all we can do is collect the feedback and the issues, and pass them along to the game team.

I might not be the best person to respond to this since I'm sticking more to informing the community than interacting with it, but I'll try my best to do more than that. We're much more fun than you can think - well, maybe not me, but the lovely team I am part of! Honest. But we have to do the job we volunteered for and follow some guidelines we've been given. And before you ask: no, being boring is not on the list :p So ... let's have fun! What do you do for fun? Apart from "bigpointing" as a friend of mine says, which is what I do most of the time, in several games, I love having the music blasting through my speakers all day long (or headphones if the neighbours wanna sleep), travelling and discovering fun new places and taking a LOT of photos, which is another one of my hobbies. Taking long walks in the nature, watching good series and movies... I can draw but I'm not that talented, but I blame that on abstract art :D I don't like sleeping much because it's a waste of time ^^ I stay up until I know I'll fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I'll wrap up now because I've probably been too boring and you're snoring already, but not before I'll show you some love :p if it doesn't make you feel cuddly enough, there's more where that came from ;)

I agree more with yeomanry and have gotten my post deleted for advocating for a softer hand for "off topic" posts.

here's my take; nearly everybody posting here is a customer of Bigpoint's, whether F2P or P2P or even P2W. A mod, who might also be a customer, is acting as a representiative of Bigpoint when moderating. Deleting posts is basically a Bigpoint representative saying to a customer that they're wrong; I am not someone that fully subscribes to the thought that "The customer is always right" but it is a good guidepost at times and if a mod is going to delete posts and possibly offend customers of Bigpoint, the reason should be more than "off topic". Especially when some of the interpretations of "off topic" are not persuasive or a matter of interpretation. I think the mods should really, really, really consider letting mildly off topic posts go, or if not, movingposts to the appropriate thread, rather than deleting them to avoid offending customers, and giving a polite reason each time (and a pointer to the new thread). Regardless of the rules, a mods ultimate job is to encourage people to be Bigpoint customers, not drive them away.

For those of use who come later, it is hard to know whether a Moderator is going overboard in removing a post or whether it really was an inappropriate post. So on that mark, I can't speak. I would suppose that is what going to support is for.

I absolutely agree that it is the pits when thoughts are censored. I don't mind if a thread goes off topic for a while.

I don't like it when threads get abusive or when the boards are spammed with the same post, over and over. So if that is what is happening, I think it is fine for a post to be removed without warning.

Maybe a middle ground would be to leave the off topic post(s) and have a Moderator comment that the conversation is wavering from where it should be. Then if subsequent posts continue to stay off topic, at least there is some warning ahead of time that the posts would be removed. This would give those involved in the conversation a chance to take it to a new thread.

    lol,this is funny.
if ur new to forums then yes ur off topic will be deleted or moved.

but if ur a vet to the forums you can swear and go off topic all you want and not get edited or deleted or banned.
im not getting into all of that but when i did get edited for writing a simple b and an s. really? and banned 3 times for the same kuka the vets do,,really unfair..

while the vets write the whole word and nothing is done.
    what ever,
i think its more freedom you want and i Agree..its 2015,not 1950 anymore.
not that the mods are that old,,lol r u ?
