Progress bar

    Question.

    When I have collected half the Insignia of Honor, why is my progress bar not half full?

    The progress bar makes it look like I'm almost 3/4 the way through the event. Not 1/2.

    Is this done intentionally to have the psychological effect of making the event seem less painful?

    The bar length is an illusion, not evenly scaled, but it does fit the space allowed.
    Maybe the scale is logarithmic, or some other uncommon base, a developer toy. LOL

    They've modified it as Darwarren has stated so it looks like the awards are received at regular intervals. It's a marketing strategy so you don't see huge spaces between items at the end of the bar and get frustrated.

    That is definitely 1 of it's effects.
    It could also be based on event milestones, rather than actual points. Then the art department makes it look balanced and pretty. :)

    The visual on progress bar is based on the reward system, not the actual count of the insignia. As simple as that... but yes, I do agree it's somewhat deceiving when more people are focused rather on the quantity left to finish the bar.
