    In the announcement section this was posted:

    "But at a certain point in the game it is not really enjoyable right now, because the player cannot use the looted items without being in need to additionally grind an inappropriate amount of time for Crystals of Truth."

    I believe an explanation on how swapping the need to grind for gold instead of cots is more enjoyable ? I do believe it's possible to get gold a bit faster, but that doesn't exactly make it enjoyable.

    Some have stated that in RPG games we are simply supposed to wait for legendary items to drop, but even with the "improved" drop rate that isn't exactly enjoyable either.

    Overall I like the idea behind the 139 release, but it honestly seems more like you are trying to take the crafting out of the game than improve the system.

    Dear Greg,
    Actually we do still have the need to craft items because the droprate of items is not equally devided. Legendary weapons drop way less then legendary rings for example. besides that, when we still had to ID with cots, the value of the item would be increased with one copper / CoT used. (1 CoT had a selling price of 1 copper) so we would get something in return for what we put into it. Now we craft for 100+ gold / legendary item and if it s a crappy item we can melt it for 6k GoP or sell it for 4-5 gold (throwing away the rest of the gold we invested). So wouldnt it be an idea to increase the price of crafted items with the amount of gold we put in it? At least then we can retrieve the gold, just like we can retrieve GoP.

    hi i also have issues with crafting. if i have 4 purple items and all have 4 gem slots and craft a orange item . i want it to also have 4 gem slots.
    if i have 4 purple bows all with + 30 damage or higher, i want a orange bow also with at least + 30 damage.
    In other words i think crafting should be more detailed , also i would like it to be that you can craft 4 orange items into a new orange item with better stats so you can keep crafting until you reach the max. stats that a item can have. pls send this idea to the devs, bc crafting now is purple to orange 158 gold so you should get something better.

    New bonuses on legendary items are strange ...so far i have crafted 4 legendary shields and it is not worth it even a 1 gold
    why i have got 2x critical bonus if this is not needed on shield ,i need block and reduction not critical rate .
    All shields even a pink ones have 1 or more bonus with crit ,common with all those op in arena we need something better to survive
    I don't know maybe this is just my char :cool:
    I decided to stop crafting ,simply cuz is is not worth it .I wait for legendary drop since is free to identify and hope for the best shield on server :D

    With patch 139 you said you increased the drop of legendary items at bosses and so on, look here :

    Where are thouse legendary items promised in drop ?
    Look at the first boss, white items are still in the drop of the boss.
    In the Misterious cube it was a purple item.
    You should be ashamed for all your promises, you didnt keep none of them, just written words and nothing else.
    I wonder what will be the drop without premium, cause I understood that premium offers an increased chance of drop.
    It's very easy to see what thouse implementations did with the game, it's simple enter the game and try to find players for lvl 45 bosses, you won't find any :(
    So you should try to implement Mortis easy and Destructor easy, given the fact there are few players lvl 45 that are still playng this "game".
    In pvp I cant play 3v3 cause I dont see the players I'm, shooting at, it's like plaiyng tetris or some other kind of game. Test this aspect if you want, enter with a lvl 45 archer in 3v3 and see if you can make it. o_O
    As I wrote before in this topic, don't bother answering me, you'll see the results yourself.
    Although about the Achievement sistem, to be "Divine" a player needs to kill 100.000 players :confused:, so, if I have all the quests done in 1v1, 5v5, and 6v6 as shown here :

    do you think I will need to kill another 66.772 players to end that Achievement ? ... cause I allready have 33.228 killed as showed in the picture above.
    So, 66.772 players killed for the horse at 3v3 ? :confused:
    By the way the 33.228 players killed are not acounted for in the Achievement sistem, also many rocks and so on ...
    You will also need another kind of pvp competitions in the game, but you're not capable to stabilize the game and to keep players in it, so I'm just dreaming :rolleyes:
    I don't think you want me to write about the Stellar gold event , cause it's a failed event, as usual in the last couple of months.
    If you want I'll make you a movie about 3v3 so you can see what am I talking about, cause I really think you don't understand.
    So, I cannot say "thank you for all your questions", I might be saying "thank you for answering and implementing them" but I'm sure I wont.

    Drakensang team is not transparent at all. These unique items were introduced to the game with level 45 and Myrdosch expansion ... and it's been more than a year since then. Now when the old forum is no more .... we can't search the release notes ... and the only info about the items we get is through players who already got those items.
    Wiki updated the features ... yes ... but ... Drakensang Wikia is web site created by Drakensang Community and its only purpose is to inform all the players. I am part of the community and I am Drakensang Wikia admin ... so I will explain to you why the features are being changed.
    Like I said wiki only wants to inform the players ... and therefore we share iformation and knowledge about this game. But in the same time we want that info to be reliable and accurate and we do not tolerate false information. And the most accurate information is the one released by the official Drakensang Team ... and you Greg are part of the Drakensang Team. So when you posted the info about that item here on form we took it as accurate and reliable.
    That is why the features of those items were changed.
    For the sake of the Drakensang Community ... I hope you will be more transparent in the future.

    Greg that was just a comparison joke. I was trying to illustrate my previous comment.
    Of course the witch in Swerdfield Pastures (since the new release there are no more witches in S. Pastures) doesn't drop predator ... and there is no rumor either .... except ... we create one now. :D
    Base stats are not remaining same. Upgrading items is affecting the base stats ... so when an item is upgraded you can no longer compare it with the same item that is not upgraded ... and that is huge blow.
    Furthermore ... different items of the same type have different base stats on same level.
    For an example ... if we upgrade level 3 bow to level 45 ... that bow has stats that are not the same as stats of level 45 bow. and we can't see it anymore. And since the compare tool is useless .... we can't see on what base stats enchants are applying to.
    Please bring back the base stats ... because now the situation is ... like .... we want to upgrade a car engine without knowing the specifications of that engine.

    When/if the Gnob will come to Kings Hill once more this year. I want to see OTHER emotes than Bow, Laughing fit, Attack!.

    I want you change his offers completly.

    Above all emotes, i want to buy Kalinka Malinka.

    in 2013 you had a special shop where you offered players to buy a large variaty of emotes. When we dont grind timeless, we want to cheer us up in towns with funny emotes.

    - Special shop 2014
    - Shady John with more fun

    PVP BALANCING
    -Issues for end game players

    There are certain players or some players that wait 1 hour or more even 3-6 hours to get one match.
    I am not sure if this is pvp balancing or just isolating certain end game players from doing pvp.
    No one wants to wait for more than one hour for one match then wait another 30 minutes or more for another.
    This sort of "balancing" needs to be reconsidered.
    Considering there are two main aspects of the game, pvp and farming, for players that cannot do pvp because of long queue times you have basically taken away 50% of the game.

    UNIVERSAL HEALING POTIONS
    -Please make them stack-able to 999 instead of 99; for frequenters of jesters having a full page of potions is rather annoying.
    -Potions are useful in many aspects of the game especially these ones that are worth anders, so they are hard to just throw away.

    Since the R139 there has been some adjustements in the pvp wich has been led to a roughly 5-8 hours pvp cap in Agathon if you are high ranked player.

    Since R139 I have been able to play 2x 5vs5 and just a second ago I just got my first 3vs3 since R139.
    I have been waiting well.. too long time. But it's good to have another game to run while you are playing Waitingsang just alt tab to move the character so that the waiting can continue xD I don't know what happened to the "small steps" when balancing the pvp ? It doesn't seems small steps to me.
    With the current setting you need a whole lot of time to enter in arena,
    have lot of players online and idk... maybe Stars in the lucky triangle....
    And that PVP match might just happen lol 1vs1 arena is calling, if you know to ask right opponents, or bride, or threat them to enter in arena LOL

    I know and understand that balance is a good thing but you guys have to understand that you can not apply same rules in high populated server and low populated server. If I have ever see or knew this would go "again" like this I would never
    even consider to buy higher than 3rd grade gems. As the time passes on
    the problem might vanish itself, because those players will not wait hours for one match for months and months a row.

    Hey Greg, I was wondering, when will the Daily Quest rewards be adjusted? Right now, they 're a complete joke. We get a reward of max 1 gold, which anyone with acces to q1 or m2 can farm in a matter of minutes. Craft 1 or 2 items to be rewarded with a few silver, while crafing one blue already costs over 2 gold. Only the pvp quests or 100 or 300 monster kill quest are a little bit rewarding. Allthough killing 300 monsters for 1 gold is less rewarding then killing 300 monsters for a purple item since we can sell a purple item for more then 1 gold. It makes no sence and the DQs really need a rework. :)

    Again, sorry if I am being slow here - but with Stellar Gold, Korea, the Winter Event and and and we had quite some work to do - but yeah i'm back!


    Workbench Costs @VoulaAek1
    As you saw with release 140 we took your feedback and we were able to convince the team to reduce the workbench prices. If we feel like this will cause greater imbalances we will adjust the prices accordingly. Though to be fair, I doubt that they will become higher.
    Crafting quest items should not cost you Gold (as far as i know from the design document).

    Parallel World Entry level 35 @herodian :
    This is a bug and (since I review the release notes) I can tell you that with release 140 & 141 this issue will be resolved.
    Sometimes I really dont understand how an existing system, which is running, can malfunction after a patch. When you look at it you would this that the game designers did this change from level 30 to level 35 on purpose but I can assure you they did not. They looked at me with big eyes when I first saw players reporting it. Back to topic, its a bug and it will be resolved:)

    Oh and thank you for liking the informative videos. Dracaty and I thought about how to explain the changes the best.
    We had to rush a little since this decision was rather hasty eventually - but we hope that we did our best to explain the 4 big changes:)

    As you know, I do not always agree and can be somewhat... critical at times... but I did think the four videos you made did a very good job of concisely explaining some major changes in the game. (Except for the price of crafting being undisclosed - but maybe it was not known at the time of the videos. Anyway, we all kind of suspected those costs would be high, so not a huge surprise there, and it was adjusted downward. As is said sometimes, "There's no free lunch".)

    Personally, I'm saving my gold and just ID'ing the legendary items I find. I think there may be a good use for several thousand gold when the level cap is raised. But that decision is one that all players have to make for themselves. My equipment is such that I don't feel I have to replace any of it.

    I agree with @_G_R_A_M_P_S_ . The daily quest rewards should be improved.

    My suggestions:

    Legendary equipment.

    Essences.

    Healing potions.

    and 10 million andermants... ok ok don't shout at me, just kidding.

    Suggestions for new Daily Quests:

    Defeating specific bosses.

    Doing 1 complete run of a specific Parallel World(s) - This allows the tough nuts to waste a little bit of their precious time, and join random groups for PW's, maybe even with weak players and help them while they're doing their DQ.

    That's all to be honest, nothing else to suggest.



    p.s. Those are just suggestions, don't go Shakespeare on me.

    Hi,
    Can you please remove some unnessesary stat's from sheild like, critical damage, critical hit rate? It's making imposible to get sheild that is any good at all. I'am not looking for a perfect one just a decent one with 2x +block rate and 1x +damage recuction by blocking, I've would be very happy if I could have better chanse of getting that instead of no block rate on sheild.

    Raising the value of legendary items
    This is in theory of course a good idea, we never ruled out that certain items will increase or decrease in value.
    Release 139 has only been out for roughly a month. In order to review the impact of it on the virtual economy we need much more time.
    The fear is always that we would destroy the balance and players will become too rich. As much as I am a fan of my own character to be a rich pasha, you have to think of the bigger picture - the economy has stay in an equilibrium. That being said, if we detect that it is a big struggle for players we will react on it, you guys complained about the crafting price and voila, see what happened, we reduced them - because you guys had a point! But yeah, we need to measure not only feedback but also the numbers of the in-game economy in order to react - hope you can understand that:)

    Yes of course not everyone is after legendaries, unique items are even more desirable but legendaries are a good filler until you get to your uniques:)

    Grinding for Gold
    Your argument is definitely valid and I can see the concern in that. It depends on what your focus is during the game.
    Now you can get items and use them without having to grind for CoTs before you can even use them, you are not obliged to grind for gold since crafting is not the main focus of the game, it is only an alternative option. However, players were conditioned to use crafting as main mechanic to receive legendary items. It is difficult to unlearn this habit of course but the team believed that the classic way of getting items in RPGs should be strengthened. The classic method is to receive items arbitrary via monsters. Also consider that you do not have to stack CoTs in your inventory. I DO see the point that there are areas in the game where we need to make gold easier available. The daily challenges could reward you with more gold for example.

    Drop rate of legendary items
    You must have been mistaken with the meaning of the changes in release 139. No where it is stated that there are guaranteed drops of legendary items.

    You should be ashamed for all your promises, you didnt keep none of them, just written words and nothing else.

    A promise like that of guaranteed drops has never been made, therefore I cannot understand why you would get so worked up about something that is stated nowhere. I advise you to rethink your statement.
    Magic and extraordinary drops are totally normal. Its all based on probability and if you have played other RPGs you should understand the principle of luck and probability. I am certain that your character has received legendary items;)

    Transparency in DSO
    Wikis are always made with human capital and knowledge and its the communities who share information.
    Me and Dracaty have not been on DSO since the beginning - so we cannot be "sorry" for what has been not done before our time.
    We are trying to make a difference - if you follow Twitch, facebook etc you will realize that many of the new items and information is coming from us that has never been there before. Most of the information that is being provided by the admins is coming from us. That being said - Dracaty & I cannot give you information which is not final. As soon as it is 100% final we can provide it but even then - there have been many times when an item made it into the game with a wrong name or stats etc. Recent example, the cubes started off as Mystic Cubes, a week later, while the items were in game they were called Mysterious cubes and a release later they changed to Mystic Cubes again. The stream that we shows on twitch prior to release 139 also called them Mystic Cubes, which was , technically speaking, wrong information. Its things like that that hinder you to be fully transparent even if you actually did everything "according to the book".

    Yes, because technically you do not have to spent a single penny on DSO if you yourself do not chose to.
    It is another reason why we have eliminated the CoTs - they were too essential and hindered the free to play experience.
    I will give you an example, if you have a smart phone you can download games such as Zombies vs. Plants 2. You will start off with a selection of characters that you use against the zombies and you have the option to purchase and unlock more, however, no one is forcing you. You can simply invest time and unlock them later in the game. It is all a matter of choice my dear friend.

    oh believe me, we the CMs and also the entire art department want that to happen and there are many concepts of new items that i have seen. The key to this is game design department - they plan when and where these items are implemented into the game.
    I can imagine that a new set of items will make it either before the content extension or along with the content extension.
    Thats also the case for the moon events - their stories should be expanded - including items.

    999 Universal Potions & PVP
    The potions stackable to 999 should be doable. Believe me, i have also tried to convince our game designers to make gem stones stackable. I will recommend that on your behalf.
    PVP - this is still an open chapter and a difficult topic. As you might have read in the patch notes before release 139 the team has started to do some back-end improvements to the formula to improve it. I have no more information about it currently i guess with 2015 we can expect more.

    Since the max stats on any green - orange items has been raised, there are many legendaries that easily beat uniques, even the newer uniques. The only reason to use uniques is for their bonuses. Wat unique beats a legendary torso with over 1k armor at lvl 45 for example?
    The idea is scary, but uniques aren't really more desirable then legendaries anymore.

    Please stack any potion up to 999 :D

    Stacking gems sounds nice but the gem crafting system might need a rework. I'm curious to see how that would work out though.
